Mediatek has been launching a veriety of chipsets in recent times with the recent one being the helio p15 under the p series. Hardly any devices came equipped with it and now the p25 has been announced. The main highlighting factor of this chipset is its 16nm process and the focus on dual camera setup.
A variety of phones now-a-days come with dual camera setup where one lens is the main one whereas the other captures either depth or is a monochrome lens. The p25 is camera focussed and hence will include Shallow depth of field, auto exposure to capture images with ease in any lighting conditions.
Some of the features include:

Some of the features include:
- The single lens will be capable of having 24MP and if dual lens are used then they can be used as a combination of 13+13 MP.
- The High Dynamic Range (HDR) will also be used for videos.
- In the dual lens usage, the lens can be either monochrome or will be able to capture deep bokeh effect.
- Will include support for 2K and 4K video recording.
In terms of its architecture, it makes use of 8 cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.5 gHz. The p15 was clocked at 2.2gHz and also had 8 cores. The graphics in p25 will be handled by the Mali T880 MP2 i.e will have 2 cores and will be clocked at 900MHz.
It can also support RAM upto 6GB.
Mediatek claims it to be power efficient and also will have less heating issues.
Speaking of usage of mediatek's P series chipsets, all of them released earlier i.e the p10/p15 were not upto the mark. They had heating issues and also delivered poor performance. Going on specs, the p25 seems promising and also is expected to deliver better battery life results.
