There are many browsers like Chrome, UC, opera , etc on our phones. Every browser has it's own feature that makes it stand out from each other and makes them popular. However if we come across a link in twitter or Instagram or while browsing itself, on clicking it we are redirected to the browser or a new tab is opened. Indeed its not a pain to switch between the browser and the app yet there is a browser which is a floating window... The Flynx browser made by Infiken Labs.
The main feature is its floating nature. When you click on a link, it will open a floating window which will show you the contents and you can get rid of it easily.
As said it opens a floating window while overlapping the app i.e Twitter in this case.
You can either browse the toned down version of the link or the original with the toggle at the top.
Like any regular browser you get options to copy link. There is an option to change the display settings as well as you can also open the article in your main browser ( you may have to select any of your browser apart from flynx as secondary in the settings)
The best part is that you can open as many links as you want and easily navigate to the other links. Earlier there were restrictions to the number of links that you can open but now it seems to have been lifted off.
Another feature is double tap to save link with which you can browse the link later by accessing it in the app
On opening the app you can access the saved link and also share the link.
You can also access the recent tabs for quick reference.
In the settings, you can change the bubble size to small, medium and large. From the alignment option, you can select either left or right alignment of the bubble.
The quick read mode enables a toned down version of the link which may save data to some extent and loads faster.
Also for the app to work well you may have to set as default for accessing it while using other apps.
When in the quick read mode , you can change display settings by setting the background colour, one of the two fonts and also the text size.
If you choose the original view, the display option is not available.
This app has a variety of features considering its size of around 5 MB and works well. Indeed its easy to use and relevant and I would recommend you to try it out.
