Buttons Remapper
Most of our phones do contain capacitive keys in which one is usually for the back and the other for recent tasks and the center one for the home key. We at times may wish for them to work the way we want like if we want the back button to be on the right as its left position may not be convenient or vice versa. Some of the Android OS's do let us customize even the buttons. E.g CyanogenMod.
However here i have found an app i.e Buttons Remapper made by Irishin developer. Indeed this app is of great help and the best part its works without root.
Initially it will prompt you for enabling the app via system settings to allow customization. Its very easy to configure the buttons the way you want.
On tapping the add button you get 2 options, one to add short and long press and the other combination. The combination is available only for premium i.e you need to purchase it. In combination you can add more functions by assign a task to be performed when two buttons are pressed simultaneously.
In short and long press you can add any function to any button. You can choose the back , home, recent tasks, volume up,down etc. to enable any function
You can select the time for long press also the action to be performed during the long press. You can enable or disable the default function of the button. I.e if long press is enabled on for a new function then on normal press it will follow the back function and on long press the newer assigned function.
You can add functions to many keys and the best part also assign a key to get direct access to any particular app. I did assign my back key for direct access to camera and it worked like a charm.
This app is available for free on the play store and you can download it here: Download
I hope you would try the app and do share your opinions about it in the comments below.
Also wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and seasons greetings. ;-)
