Samsung Note 8 rumors

Its half way down 2017 and most of the major players have revealed their share of phones for the first half of 2K17. Now, some of the most anticipated phones from major tier 1 brand OEM's include the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Google Pixel 2, Apple iPhone 8, LG V30 and so on.
With the sad fate of the note 7, the Note 8 has been into early rumors since the H1 however, the refurbished Note 7 is yet to be announced. The Note 8 has finally gone into some strong rumors and a post from Venture Beat by Evan Blass putting light into the note 8 has been online. The post mainly highlights the asking price for the next Note with an hefty amount of €999.

Samsung Note 8 rumor update

Some of the rumored specs include:
  • 6.3 inch 2K Super AMOLED infinity display with 18.5 : 9 aspect ratio
  • Exynos 8895 / Snapdragon 835 (region specific)
  • 6GB RAM with 64/128GB storage
  • 12MP dual rear cameras probably one sensor may come with f/1.7 lens
  • 8MP front camera
  • 3300mAh battery
  • S-pen stylus
  • Fingerprint sensor, Iris scanner, face unlock

The Note 8 is expected to have same form factor like the S8 plus with slightly larger screen. The dual curved edges,  full glass body and no home button will be in the design like the S8 plus. Its rumored that the dual camera lenses will have OIS and will be placed horizontally. Earlier leaks and reports intended to vertical placement and no fingerprint sensor which made everyone to come to a conclusion that either Samsung has ditched the fingerprint sensor or it has come out of the ordinary to embed it in the screen.

However, the fingerprint sensor remains at the same position with addition of more gap between the flash and the sensor however, these are just rumors and apart from the specs the design may have considerable changes hence, nothing can be commented till the final device is out.

The Note 7 was unveiled in August 2016

Venture Beat has hinted for the Note 8 launch by late September for a selling price of €999 which will be the pricest phone from Samsung till date. Also the S8 and S8 Plus has had no issues with quality like in the Note 7 thanks to better battery test from Samsung hence, the Note 8 is expected to do well as there has been no S-Pen related compact device from Samsung for almost a year (although Tab S3 has it and speaking in context of phones).

Do let us know about your thoughts and expectations from the next Galaxy Note. Also if you owned the Note 7 and underwent the fiasco, will you be purchasing the Note 8?? we are keen to know!
