Nokia made a come back into smartphone world with the launch of its budget devices i.e Nokia 3,5 and 6. Recently there were rumors regarding the ultimate Flagship i.e Nokia 8 or even Nokia 9. However, the flagship will be called as Nokia 8. Evan Blass from VentureBeat has released an image of the 8 and it shares its design similarities with the Nokia 6.

The device is expected to have :
- 5.3 inch 2K or QHd display with regular 16:9 aspect ratio ( 2560 × 1440 )
- 4/6 GB RAM
- Snapdragon 835 SOC based on KRYO 280 architecture and 10nm process. 4 cores clocked at 2.45gHz and remaining 4 at 1.9gHz.
- Adreno 540 GPU
- Dual rear cameras with 13MP resolution and Carl ZEISS optics
- Android 7.1.1 Nougat
The specs seem normal as per any 2017 flagship however, the highlighting factor is the NOKIA brand and what camera will it be equipped. Nokia has been quite good with camera optics in the past and again HMD Global has been into an agreement for ZEISS optics that was present on the good old Nokia N95, N8 and so on. Performance wise the budget and mid-rangers have been good and with almost stock UI and monthly security patches, Nokia is in a safe position. However all depends on the pricing, launch and availability.
The device is expected to arrive in blue, steel, gold/blue and gold/copper. The expected pricing is around $700 and the device will be unveiled on 31st July.
