Xiaomi's claim on battery life |
Xiaomi claims video playback of 18 hours and continuous gaming of 9 hours however these figures are just theoretical and all games are different in consuming amount of resources, do remember that.
Going on Xiaomi's record on Battery, they have always been able to impress us even in their budget devices like the Redmi 4 or even the 3S prime and here we are talking about 5300 mAh :-P
Mi Max 2's camera details |
The next factor is camera which has Sony's imx 368 sensor which is also used on the Xiaomi's Mi6. However, in Max 2 the Pixel size is of 1.25 microns which is better than the previous Mi Max which had 1 micron pixel size.
This indicates that more light will be able to enter the pixel thereby making the images sharper and making them less noisy.
The front facing camera is of 5MP with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera is capable of 4K video recording at 30FPS.
For better media and gaming experience, the Max 2 has stereo speakers which they claim switches to stereo mode when held in landscape mode.
Xiaomi has improved with build quality and decided to go with completely metal unibody design. The curves are more champhored which makes them smoother. The fingerprint sensor is present at the back in the upper half which is not awkward like the S8 and S8 plus ;-)
The 2.5D curved glass is a good addition.
Whatever Xiaomi claims about the single handed usage, its true that its just improved and it can never be used with the single hand.
Finally coming to pricing the device is available in China for RMB 1699 (~RS. 17000) for 4GB- 64GB storage and RMB 1999 (~RS. 20000) for 4GB -128GB storage.
