Samsung J7 2017 goes live in a video

Samsung's budget series i.e J series have been quite successful since the introduction in 2015. The J7 being at the top of the series had some considerable changes not with design but with internals in the 2016 model. Recently there were leaks about the J7 2017 related to the design which showed considerable design changes.
All of a sudden, the J7 2017 went hands on with a Russian YouTube channel showing the design and specs with some benchmarks.

Samsung J7 2017

The device resembles the S7 to a greater extent from the front. It will have a 5.5 inch 1080p screen which will be Super AMOLED like most Samsung devices. One can also see the always on display which Samsung had started including it in their midrange series as well. The home button is present at the bottom and it could house the fingerprint sensor.

Samsung's J7 UI

The UI is quite similar to the one present on the S8 as to access the grid of apps, one will have to swipe from the bottom as in the S8. Out of the box it will have Android nougat. Samsung Pay is present which is quite surprising as it is not available in some midrangers. This also indicates that the device should support NFC.

The rear of the device is completely different from the predecessors and other Samsung devices. The bands have a new layout and the camera module with LED flash is distinguished from the rest in a complete black part.
The device may have micro USB port and has a headphone jack at the bottom.

Antutu benchmark

Geekbench score

The Antutu score is not that impressive as compared to today's standards however the device has not yet been announced so results might differ. The geekbench score seems quite decent. The device is expected to have 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and comes with Exynos 7870 SOC which has 8 cortex a53 cores based on 14nm process. The GPU is Mali T830.
The J7 2017 is expected to arrive in 4 different colours which includes black, silver , gold and pink.

The device will be announced soon along with the J5 2017. The J5 must have a 5.2 inch screen however do stay tuned for more updates. For more insight do refer the video by clicking on the link below
