Xiaomi is yet to unveil its flagship for the initial stage of the year i.e the Mi 6. The last year's flagship i.e Mi5 did not have any great success as Xiaomi made available only the underclocked version i.e having only 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 clocked at 1.8gHz as compared to 2.15gHz here in India. The device was priced higher as compared to its pricing in China and also has issues w.r.t software and network reception. However, keeping the Mi5 aside lets talk about the recent leaks related to Mi6.
The leak consists of an image of the box and not the phone itself. There have been initial reports of the expected device however they were not concrete. Another factor is the specifications which were unclear from previous leaks. Now, the box images hint some of the specs which seems to be sufficient enough to determine whats powering the phone.
One of the box (black ) of Mi6 will be black coloured and it reveals a Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.45gHz with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The mi6 will have 5.15 inch 2.5D screen which is the same from its predecessor and will have 30MP rear camera with OIS and 8MP front camera. The device will have 4000mAh battery to keep its screen on.
The rest of the specs were not clear however it will have a USB type-C port and will come with Qualcomm's quick charge 4.0
Another box of mi6 i.e in white colour shows clearly that it will be either the base variant or an underclocked variant (Xiaomi's unusual tactics). It indicates a Snapdragon 835 chipset with 3GB RAM and will have 64GB onboard storage. It will have the same 5.15 inch 2.5D screen and possibly a 1080p display. The rear camera is of 12MP as compared to 30MP of the above variant and a 4 MP ultra pixel front facing camera.
The battery capacity is 3200/3100mAh which is lesser as compared to 4000mAh of the above variant.
Although these boxes look legit and focus on Mi6 yet all the information may not be true. The leaks of Samsung S8 were strong and hyped whereas the Mi6 leaks are very difficult to find and uncertain hence, taking it as reference only will be a better option.
