Motorola announces the G5s and G5s Plus starting Rs.13999

The Moto G5 and G5 Plus got an update with the launch of G5s and G5s Plus. This is the first time Motorola has announced an updated version to their popular G series making it their second half mid-range offering of 2017. The G5s will be available for Rs. 13999 and the G5s Plus for Rs. 15999 via Amazon India.

  • Dual 13MP rear cameras with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. Main sensor is RGB and the other is a depth sensor or Monochrome

The G5s Plus comes with metal unibody design and is identical to the G5 Plus with the only difference in the camera module. The G5 Plus came with 5.2 inch display and the G5s Plus comes with slightly larger 5.5 inch. 

The main difference apart from the screen is in the camera department. The G5 came with single 12MP f/1.7 dual pixel lens as against the dual 13MP f/2.0 lens in this case. Although on paper the former seems better however only the real world test can confirm it. The device comes with stock UI based Android 7.1.1 with some Motorola specific features like Moto display and so on. 
The rest of the specifications remain identical to the G5 Plus and will be available in Gray and Gold colours.

The G5s also has a minor upgrade from the G5 and that is the camera, screen size and battery with 200mAh increase as the G5 had 2800mAh capacity. The G5 came with 13MP sensor and the G5s comes with 16MP. In terms of screen size, the G5s got a minor increment from 5 inch to 5.2 inch. The SOC remains the same as the predecessor. Like the G5s Plus, the G5s also comes with Android Nougat with stock UI and some Moto specific features. 
The device will be available via Amazon India and also via some offline stores. 

The sale for both these devices starts tonight from 11:59 pm. The G5 will be available for a discounted price of Rs. 11999 and the G5 Plus will be available for Rs. 14999.
