NOKIA IS BACK

Nokia, the brand itself has many of our memories attached to it. The iconic 3310, the snake game, the nokia tune were some of the most memorable ones. Nokia had its fall with the Lumia lineup and later with the partnership with Microsoft and finally had to sell its Lumia lineup to Microsoft.

Lets leave the past and focus on the present.  Today at MWC, Nokia held an event to showcase their comeback in the mobile world and also their products, research work in various fields, their strategy, etc.
One of the most interesting part about the event was the launch or rather Global launch of Nokia phones.

Nokia announced a global launch for NOKIA 6, NOKIA 5 , NOKIA 3 AS WELL AS SHOWCASED THE RETURN OF 3310 IN A NEW FORM.

Nokia 6 : 
It was initially launched in January in China and Nokia claimed to achieve great success.
The device has 5.5 inch 1080p screen and is powered by the Snapdragon 430 has 3 GB /4 GB RAM  for arte black  and 32/ 64 GB onboard storage.
This device will be on sale for €229 and a special Variant i.e of glossy back ( in black colour) will be on sale for a higher price tag of €299.

Nokia 5: 
For those who want a slightly compact form, Nokia announced the Nokia 5. This device will have a 5.2 inch screen and made of a single block of aluminium series 6000 similar to the Nokia 6.
It will be powered by the Snapdragon 430 will have 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory.
It has 13MP rear camera and 8 MP front facing camera.
Battery capacity will be 3000mAh.
This device will go on sale for €189.




Nokia 3: 
For those wanting a cheaper alternative, NOKIA announced the Nokia 3. This device will have 5 inch 720p screen with 2GB RAM. The device is powered by Mediatek MT6737 quad core cpu and has 16 GB internal memory. It will have 8MP both back and front facing camera and the battery capacity is 2650mAh.
This device will go on sale for €139.



Nokia 3310: 
Finally, in the end, Nokia refreshed the nostalgia by reintroducing the iconic , 3310. This device as claimed by Nokia will have a standby battery life of 1 month or 22hrs of talktime.
This device will have the SNAKE GAME as well as THE NOKIA RINGTONE.
The device works only on 2G and has 1200 mAh battery which is 300mAh more than the original 3310 launched back in 2000.
The device will be sold at €49.



All devices will be preloaded with Android nougat out of the box except the 3310 (of course ) which will be preloaded with Nokia Series 30+

Nokia did focus on providing timely updates, provide basic Android interface i.e easy to use and not customise it heavily and also provide great build quality and camera.
There was no news about any flagship from Nokia and no mention about it. At present Nokia did unveile only these 4 devices and their global sale may start from Q2.
