Samsung's J series has always been their budget contender series since 2015 and have announced various devices consisting of various denominations from initially launched J1 to J5 and J7 with the inclusion of J2 and J3 lately. Recently, we covered the J2 2017 which unfortunately was only a rebranded J2 2015. However now, finally from the following leaks of the next gen J2, it seems that Samsung is in a mood to up their level in the budget offering and compete with many other successful budget oriented brands.
Expected specifications :
Samsung J2 2018

Battery | 2600 mAh |

The J2 will have a 5 inch qHD (quarter HD) display which will be Super AMOLED. One best part about Samsung is that they make use of their AMOLED displays even in their budget devices however since the device will be launched in 2018, the less than HD resolution is not acceptable.
Speaking of the cameras, the rear will have an 8MP sensor and the front will have a 5MP sensor. Both the cameras will have an LED flash which is the highlight of the J series. One thing to note is that there will not be a Glowing Ring around the camera module as it was present with the J2 2016. (This feature made Samsung sell the J2 in millions :-!). The rear design is quite similar to the J7 Pro especially considering the camera module.
The 2600 mAh battery capacity seems promising for the specifications since it will have to power a display with lesser than 720p resolution.
Overall, if we compare it with the predecessors, the J2 2018 seems like a decent offering although we cannot compare it with the likes of Xiaomi and even Tenor's offerings. The lack of a fingerprint sensor and a low resolution display seem like a bummer as going by the past records, Samsung has always priced them close to the Rs. 10000 mark or $156 equivalent. The expected pricing is about 115 Euro or Rs. 8800 which has the Redmi 4 as its competitor. Initially it will be available in Russia for 8000 Ruble and also in many other markets.
