Nokia, at an even in London announced the much awaited flagship i.e Nokia 8. Nokia now under HMD global has been announcing budget devices with the Nokia 6 being the first one to be announced followed by 5 and 3 and even the 3310. Although the gap of a midranger is yet to be filled but the Nokia flagship of 2017 has finally arrived.

The Nokia 8 will be available in polished blue, polished copper, silver and tempered blue. The device has been made from polished 6000 series aluminium and going by the likes of its budget devices, the 8 will also have superior build quality.

The front and rear camera have the same sensor and megapixel count. It comes with an additional feature where you can take photos and videos from both front and rear simultaneously. The screen gets divided into half showing the content from each lens. It is named as the dual sight mode and the camera app also allows for direct sharing via Facebook live.
Also, the the partnership of Nokia and Zeiss which dates way back to the Symbian OS days was revived by HMD Global. This ensured the addition of Zeiss optics on the Nokia 8 cameras.

The device also comes with OZO audio. This OZO 360° audio ensures the elimination or reduction of background noise while capturing any video in 4K therby enhancing the media experience.
On software basis, the Nokia 8 will ship with Android Nougat 7.1.1 and the update to Android O will be available once it has been made public. Nokia has resorted to stock Android and hence the updates are bound to arrive sooner however everything depends on the brand to release them on time.
The Nokia 8 will be available for €600 ($ 705) globally starting September. The pricing is on the higher side indicating that Nokia is a premium brand and its competition is with the likes of Samsung, LG , Apple and HTC.
Only time will tell as to how does the "most anticipated flagship" Nokia 8 will perform in every department when compared with it's competitors.
